In celebration of Women's History Month, we take a look at Daisies, directed by Věra Chytilová, one of the most subversive and anarchistic films of the short-lived and often overlooked Czechoslovak New Wave, the Eastern Blocks answer to the counter-culture movement of the West. A wonderful piece of youthful freedom and revolt against the strict Soviet regime and a mockery of bourgeoisie decadence.
